Book Review

This book celebrates the palindromic year 2002 with 247 palindromes commemorating events occurring on various days in history. On Valentine's Day, for example, we have Jim Beloff's modern classic: Lapses? Order red roses, pal. There are also longer items on subjects including Sotades, the ancient inventor of the palindrome, movie and sports palindromes, and magic word squares. There is also a section of biographies of many palindrome writers. The author, Mark Saltveit, is a stand-up comedian, and has been editor of the Palindromist Magazine. This book includes both classics (Madam, I'm Adam) and original palindromes (Men, I'm Eminem).
